Head Board TO bench

 This was Tay's Old headboard and she wanted to make a bench out of it!She said she would help me make it, but she ended up just sitting and watching me make it and said she would help me paint it! Silly girl! I think we will keep this one for awhile! I love how it looks in my house! Maybe someday she can have it in her room! :)

Headboard to BENCH!

My friend Rachel owns a shop down town called Sorellas Elite Fashion and she asked if i would make her a bench to put in her window! I was so honored, i love how it turned out and i love the color!!

Crib Bench. TUtorial

So here is my breif tutorial on how i made my Crib Bench!!!

I love the idea to make a crib bench because you can make two matching ones to decorate from the heads of the crib, OR if you have two kids that used the same crib, you can make them each there own. OR you can even cut the second head in half and use it for the arms!

I cut 2 by 4 and made a box like this~!

Screwed my box on about 19 " high, i think that is the perfect height for the seat of a bench, then i got some scrap MDF. i cut it a little higher and about 1/2" longer on the sides because im going to add some bead board and i want it to fit in between them.

I nailed on the top slats, added my bead board to cover the exposed 2 by 4, and then added a slat at the bottom so i can put a basket or something on it, and it also makes it alot stronger.

Im not the best at giving tutorials, but i hope you can use this....I would love for you send me pictures of your finished projects.

I just LOVE this, i have been searching for a tutorial on how to make a bench out of a crib. Finally i just made up my own because i couldnt find one that i liked. I think it turned out so good for my first one. So come tomorrow and see how you can make one out of those old cribs that are laying around everywhere. :)

Cheryl i love you for giving me your old front door! I love this bench. i think it will look SO cute with a vinyl quote in the glass or a wreath hanging from it! SO cute!

This i made from an old crib, super cute, and a great time OUT chair!

The weather has been so nice and i love working out side and my kids can run crazy, WHICh means and early bed time!

What we did today...another BEnch, But RED!!!

This is Muh and my lovely friend Bethany....or i should make up some fun crafty name for her, we do everything together and we craft all the time together. Its fun when you have a partner in crime...haha! Anyways, We made this cute Red Bench for Bethanys porch today. Dont you just love it!

I snagged it from the back of a furniture store....no worries i did ask, and the guy offered to just give me it, with 5 other ideams! SWEET!
